We reviewed and used the Life Fitness X3-5 elliptical trainer over a period of 3 weeks. We also interviewed Life Fitness X3-5 owners as well as several people who had used the elliptical trainer in the gym or fitness center. The X3-5 is a step up from the old X3-0 model and has many top of the line features. However for an MSRP of about $2900.00 it is beyond the budget of the average home fitness equipment buyer. If you want a machine that’ll provide a good workout and will last you a long time, fitness experts will agree that you should save up for a branded machine. A Precor device, a Life Fitness machine, or an Octane elliptical machine, would be an excellent choice. Cheaper elliptical machines have a tendency to wear down after a while of heavy use, but you can look forward to not experiencing problems such as these with the somewhat more expensive branded types.
